Sandyford Surgery

Appointments & Working Hours

Appointments

You are requested to book an appointment to see the Doctor and appointments are normally 10 minutes per person.

The Practice offers a range of appointments daily (Monday to Friday), each morning and afternoon with the exception of a Tuesday afternoon when the surgery is closed.
The majority of Doctor appointments are released each day at 8.45am for booking on the day, however some early morning appointments can be booked in advance if required.
Appointments can be made in person or by phone so please phone early (lines open 8.45am) on the day of your choice, for an appointment and if you require a longer consultation please request a double appointment.
If something is urgent please inform the receptionist who will try to fit you into an emergency slot.
If you feel it is not necessary to see a Doctor and are only looking for advice you can request telephone advice and a Doctor will phone you back at a suitable time.

Telephone Advice

To speak with a doctor or a nurse on the telephone, you should phone the receptionist early morning or afternoon. Your call will either be passed on to the names person or, a message will be recorded for you if they are not available. You will then be advised when you can expect your call to be returned.

Home Visits

Should you or a member of your family be too ill to attend surgery, please contact the receptionist (before 10am except in case of emergency). The receptionist may ask you for further information - this is to help us assess the urgency of your call, so please help with this if you can.
